I am an avid griller. If only I could prepare all of my meals using my grill I would. There’s just something about the meat having that charcoal taste that I love so much. That is why I was so disappointed after my grill gave out on me just after I bought 5 years ago.

But with the cooking area of this size, I was a little worried about the meat being cooked unevenly.

Then I was told about the 48,000-BTU stainless steel burner systems which consist of Dual-Tube burners that produce heat evenly. That means I can grill enough food to cover the entire cooking area, and not have to worry about some food items not getting cooked evenly.

Drippings are also vaporized with the use of the unique Flav-R-Wave system, infusing food with authentic barbecue flavor, and at the same time reduce flare-ups. The broil King Sovereign is also equipped with a premium rotisserie kit that can handle large roasts, chicken, and even turkey.

I actually had second thoughts before I purchased theBroil King 987747 Sovereign 90 Natural-Gas Grill with Side Burner and Rotisserie. I couldn’t believe a grill like this would cost much less than the others that are almost similar. I just took my friend’s word for it since he own a Broil King as well and he said it still works great though he’s had it for years.

Now it has been more than a year since I bought my Broil King 987747 Sovereign 90 Natural-Gas Grill with Side Burner and Rotisserie. And after a lot of grilling and barbecuing, the Broil King Sovereign has worked amazingly, even exceeding way past my expectations.

I bought the Broil King 94974 Crown 70 Liquid-Propane Gas Grill a couple of weeks later, after my previous grill gave up on me after being with us for years. It took a while for me to purchase a new one since I didn’t really go through the hassle of having to decide which grill to purchase.

I finally gave in since we were going to have people over from out of town. I saw the Broil King 94974 thought it seemed okay since it did have a couple of features that sounded nice. I did have doubts though since it almost sounded too good to be true with its price, plus I did have a couple of friends who had the same brand and didn’t hear any complains about it.

Another thing I was also worried about was the degree of difficulty of trying to put it together. Surprisingly, it only took about 20 minutes or so, and then I really got excited to start grilling. The grill came together with such ease. There was no need for bending, forcing, or immediate modifications to get the parts to fit. I was starting to change my whole perspective about the grill, but I did not want to get my hopes up until I see the final product.

When I got the grill to start working, I thought I still had a long wait to go before I can actually start. It came to my surprise it took less than 10 minutes and it was all set to get started. The first burgers I cooked on the Broil King 94974 Gas Grill were some of the best ones I’ve ever done. The flavor wave cooking system added that charcoal flavour to the meat.

The grill marks on the burgers were great, and it cooked evenly. I was really impressed! The only thing that gave me a hard time, which wasn’t even that difficult, was the cleanup after use. Bui I guess we can always expect that from any grill. Let’s not forget the parking brakes on the front wheels, it was a nice touch.
