I couldn’t believe a grill like this would cost much less than the others that are almost similar. I just took my friend’s word for it since he own a Broil King as well and he said it still works great though he’s had it for years.

I’ve always loved the taste of home cooked barbecue, the problem was, and I never really had any experience with a grill, nor do I own one. I always used to have to wait until we had a gathering or a little get together with friends before I can have that taste in my mouth again. Finally, I decided to purchase myself my very own grill. Start-up was not a problem since it has a Sure-lite rotary ignition system which made it easier. You can also adjust to a precise temperature since it is equipped with Linear Flow Valves, and an Accu-temp thermometer made of stainless steel to ensure precise temperature reading.

Grilling with the Broil King Monarch wasn’t even as hard as I thought it would be, so when my friends got here, they were surprised to see I already had it started. When the burgers were finally cooked, they were amazed with the charcoal flavour of the meat. It really made it seem as if I’ve done this before. I was really happy with my Broil King Monarch but only wish that it could happier if it was built to be sturdier.

I bought the Broil King 94974 Crown 70 Liquid-Propane Gas Grill a couple of weeks later, after my previous grill gave up on me after being with us for years. It took a while for me to purchase a new one since I didn’t really go through the hassle of having to decide which grill to purchase.

I finally gave in since we were going to have people over from out of town. I saw the Broil King 94974 thought it seemed okay since it did have a couple of features that sounded nice. I did have doubts though since it almost sounded too good to be true with its price, plus I did have a couple of friends who had the same brand and didn’t hear any complains about it.

Another thing I was also worried about was the degree of difficulty of trying to put it together. Surprisingly, it only took about 20 minutes or so, and then I really got excited to start grilling. The grill came together with such ease. There was no need for bending, forcing, or immediate modifications to get the parts to fit. I was starting to change my whole perspective about the grill, but I did not want to get my hopes up until I see the final product.

When I got the grill to start working, I thought I still had a long wait to go before I can actually start. It came to my surprise it took less than 10 minutes and it was all set to get started. The first burgers I cooked on the Broil King 94974 Gas Grill were some of the best ones I’ve ever done. The flavor wave cooking system added that charcoal flavour to the meat.

The grill marks on the burgers were great, and it cooked evenly. I was really impressed! The only thing that gave me a hard time, which wasn’t even that difficult, was the cleanup after use. Bui I guess we can always expect that from any grill. Let’s not forget the parking brakes on the front wheels, it was a nice touch.
